2013 EHF "RINCK" Convention Seminar for Signatory Nations takes place in April

The 2013 EHF“RINCK” Convention Seminar for Signatory Nations will take place at the European Handball Federation Office in Vienna from from 5 to 6 April 2013.

The course has been organised in cooperation with the EHF Competence Academy & Network (CAN).

Guests and lecturers

The seminar is organised for representatives of the current 28 "RINCK" Convention signatories (AUT, BLR, BUL, CRO, CYP, CZE, DEN, ENG, ESP, FRA, GER, HUN, IRL, ISL, ITA, LAT, LUX, MNE, NOR, POL, POR, RUS, SLO, SRB, SVK, SUI, SWE, TUR), as well as for the already adopted applicants (EST, NED, ROU).

The nominated participants work in the area of coaching education in their national federations.

All plans and activities crucial to the development and education will be presented by EHF Methods Commission member, Peter Kovacs, EHF Lecturer, Wolfgang Pollany, EHF Office Staff Members Doru Simion, Helmut Höritsch, Peter Fröschl, and Christoph Gamper as well as by the seminar’s participants.

Seminar objectives

Special efforts of the EHF Methods Commision (MC) concerning the expansion of the "RINCK" Convention members have been very successful.

Since the last "RINCK" Convention Seminar in 2011 the number of signatories has grown from 21 to 28 EHF Member Federations.

The EHF MC and the EHF CAN would like to use the occasion of the seminar to sum up and evaluate the activities that have taken place until now, regarding the initiated development of the educational process and the first ‘EHF Open Master Coach and Licensing Course‘ which was finalised in Belgrade, Serbia, in December 2012.

Moreover, the declared objectives of the 2013 EHF “RINCK” Convention Seminar for Signatory Nations are:

  • to acquaint the signatories with the standards and curriculum of new educational targets, namely:
  • EHF Open Master Coach and Licensing Courses
  • National Master Coach and Licensing Courses (HUN and SLO)
  • EHF PRO Licence and EHF Coaching Licence
  • Expansion of EHF "RINCK" Convention
  • to discuss the contribution of the participants, especially national targets, ways to implement, regional solutions, further perspectives

The organisers sincerely hope that the 2013 EHF "RINCK" Convention Seminar for Signatory Nations will bring forward positive results concerning the coaching structure, education and certification within the "RINCK" Convention signatories.

About the RINCK Convention

The objective of this convention is the mutual recognition of standards and certificates in the field of coaches' education in handball in Europe by preserving and safeguarding the regional and national characteristics of coaches' education, in order to facilitate the direct admission to work as a handball coach, in each signatory member federation.

This convention was signed by CZE, DEN, FRA, GER, HUN, RUS in April 2000 in Tel Aviv/ISR. By 2007, the convention consisted of 14 nations (AUT, BUL, CRO, CZE, DEN, FRA, GER, HUN, NOR, POL, POR, RUS, SLO, SVK, SWE) and it was later enlarged with the addition of SUI in 2008, the addition of ESP, ITA, MNE and TUR in 2009 and finally expanded by one member in 2010 with the addition of LUX.
