The books of tennis and soccer great ones should help in the preparation of Slovenian champions before the top clash against Vâlcea.
Nadal and Guardiola inspire Krim coach
Last weekend´s victory in Russia boosted a self-confidence of Krim Mercator players, so they hope for success on Sunday against Romanian team Vâlcea.
Compared to the Group Matches stage, the injury situation is much easier for Ljubljana-based team at the beginning of the Main Round because almost all players are healthy and two key players Andrea Penezić and Daniela Piedade fully recovered after their long-term problems.
After the opening game in Zvenigorod the Krim´s coach Tone Tiselj was satisfied with the performance of his team, but as he pointed out it would mean nothing, if his team lose points at home.
"In the last weeks I was reading Rafael Nadal's book and now I have moved on the book about Pepe Guardiola. I also listened to statements of skiers Tina Maze and Mateja Svet. What is common to all of them? Nobody talks about winning itself, everyone speaks how important the concentration is.
"This is the way of champions and therefore I am not going to talk about victory and points," Tiselj explained his approach to pre-match statements.
Vâlcea surprisingly lost to Ferencváros last week and cannot afford another setback in order to keep their one and only mission - the champions trophy alive. Duel with Krim is great opportunity for ambitious Romanian outfit to return back on the right track.
"It is a fact. Vâlcea played the worst match in the season last weekend. We have to be really focused," Tiselj warned.
As usual there will be free entrance to Stožice hall and Krim hope for great support from their fans.
