Baník Most a clear winner of an all-Czech affair in the Women´s Challenge Cup affair
Three tickets to quarter-finals solved
Two Polish clubs and one Czech side have already confirmed their participation in the Women´s Challenge Cup quarter-finals.
AZS Politechnika Koszalin overpowered ABU Baku twice on the home court – 38:15 and 37:22 as Ukrainian left back Tetyana Bilenia scored 17 goals in total.
The second Polish team KSS Kielce surprised the 2011 Challenge Cup trophy winners Mios Biganos as they beat the hosts 40:30 in the first match and kept them at bay in the second game (31:35) despite the valiant effort of the Czech centre back Iveta Luzumová who scored 16 goals in two days.
Her teammate from the national team Hana Martinková was the top scorer (17 goals) of the all-Czech affair between DHK Baník Most and Sokol Písek. The double-match turned into a one-team show as the leaders of the Czech-Slovak league from Most won easily both matches by double-digits (34:20 and 29:15).
Mainly thanks to two double-digits shooters Jasmina Djapanović (12) and Mia Rej Bidstrup (11) the Swedish outfit H 65 Höör succeeded in the first leg against Succes Schoonmaak/VOC in Amsterdam (31:25).
Croatia´s Fantasyland Samobor won the first part of ex-Yugoslavian derby with ŽRK Maks-Sport Nova Pazova (21:15).
