EHF Court of Handball disciplinary decisions

Vujovic Veselin:

The EHF Court of Handball has reached a decision in the case concerning the coach Vujovic Veselin from Macedonian club HC Vardar PRO-Skopje.

The coach was directly disqualified by the referees at the 59”56 minute of the match in the 2012/13 Men’s EHF Cup Round 3: SC Magdeburg (GER) – HC Vardar PRO-Skopje (MKD), which took place in Magdeburg, Germany on 23 November 2012.

The EHF Court of Handball panel found the conduct of the coach toward the referees was insulting and threatening. The coach Veselin Vujovic is therefore suspended from any participation in EHF competitions (national team and club competitions) for two matches and shall pay a fine of 4,000€.

An appeal to the EHF Court of Appeal is possible within 7 days (by 31 January 2013).

Zsuzsanna Tomori:

The EHF Court of Handball has released a decision following disciplinary proceedings against the player Zsuzsanna Tomori from FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria (HUN).

The player received a direct disqualification at the 57”23 minute of the 2012/13 Women’s EHF Champions League Group C match: Larvik – FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria which took place in Larvik, Norway on 17 November 2012.

The EHF Court of Hanbdall panel found that the direct disqualification of Zsuzsanna Tomori did not meet the necessary characteristics to impose further sanction.

The player is therefore eligible to play in the next Women’s EHF Champions League match of FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria which will take place on 3 February 2013.
