KS Vive Targi Kielce keep a hold of two experienced players until 2014
Grabarczyk and Ólafsson extend contracts in Kielce
During the VELUX EHF Champions League winter break, Piotr Grabarczyk and Ţórir Ólafsson extended their contracts with KS Vive Targi Kielce for one year until 2014.
Polish line player Piotr Grabarczyk joined Kielce in 2002 and is a key player in their defence. The 30-year-old Grabarczyk has won 11 titles with Kielce so far, including the Polish league in 2012.
The other player to extend their contract is Ţórir Ólafsson.
The 33-year-old right winger joined Kielce 2011.
Ólafsson started his professional career at hometown club UMF Slefoss in Iceland. This was followed with a spell at Haukar Hafnarfjördur, where he played with the club until 2005.
Ólafsson then left Iceland and spent six seasons with SC TuS Nettelstedt-Lübbecke in Germany.
After his contract ended in 2011, Ólafsson joined KS Vive Targi Kielce on a two year deal, winning his first trophy with the team in 2012 in the Polish Cup final.
