Hungarian club has organised a charity action to support the local Children’s Oncology Clinic. The shirt and the ball from London Olympics at the stake of an auction and tombola.
Olympic shirt on auction of Pick Szeged
Pick Szeged and its main sponsor have organised a charity action to support the local Children’s Oncology Clinic. Supporters can visit the last two home matches of Pick with one really cheap ticket. In exchange for the reduced ticket price, the club expect donations.
Moreover, an online auction has been launched in which anyone can bid for a national team shirt of Attila Vadkerti. The shirt from 2012 Olympic Games in London is signed by the members of the Hungarian National Team. The money will be donated to the above mentioned clinic.
Similar to last year Pick Szeged joined with its main sponsor OTP Bank in supporting the Children’s Oncology Clinic of Szeged.
Supporters can visit Pick's last two home matches with one ticket costs 200 Forints (less than 1 €) Pick meet Váci KSE on Wednesday in the Hungarian Cup and they play against the same club on Thursday in the Hungarian League.
In exchange for the reduced ticket price the club expect donations into the basket next to the ticket counter. Those who donate money get a tombola ticket.
After the Wednesday match a 2012 Olympic ball will be drawn on the tombola among other presents. The ball is provided by Pick player Attila Vadkerti and it is also signed by the members of the Hungarian National Team.
Attila Vadkerti has an Olympics shirt too with players’ signatures on it and this shirt was put up for an online auction on delmagyar.hu last Wednesday afternoon. The auction will be closed on Wednesday 12 December at noon.
The asking price was 50.000 Ft (circa 177 euros) and the highest bid is 100.000 Ft (circa 354 euros) at present.
The money will be donated for the Children’s Oncology Clinic of Szeged. The sponsor claimed that they would donate the same amount of money as much as the income of the auction will be.
The charity action was executed on the initiation of Attila Vadkerti. He has been supporting the Children’s Oncology Clinic for many years.
