Four days until the Women's EHF EURO 2012 begins
Young Danes going to Serbia without fear
Every afternoon the European Handball Federation publishes a brief summary of the stories that have gone online on the EHF EURO 2012's dedicated website ehf-euro.com. This is the weekend's and Monday's summary.
The 2012 Women's EHF European Championship in Serbia (4 to 16 December) is just days away and while the countdown to the throw-off continues to tick down, the number of stories on the host nation and the 16 participating teams steadily increases.
Danes dare to make mistakes
Denmark’s national coach Jan Pytlick has emphasised several times that his team are going through a development phase at the moment, and that people should therefore not expect medals in Serbia this December. This has taken a lot of pressure away from a team who are used to having expectations of medals before practically every major tournament. Click here.
Hotea’s injury, another blow for Romania
Eleven players from Romania’s team that won the bronze two years ago at the EHF Euro 2010 will return to this year’s tournament. However, left wing Camelia Hotea will miss EHF Euro 2012 after she suffered an injury in training. Last weekend, the Romanian team travelled to Germany and played two friendly games against the home team. Click here.
