Ovce Pole withdraw from Men´s Challenge Cup

After having registered for the 2012/13 Men's Challenge Cup in June, the club HC Ovce Pole has officially withdrawn from the competition.

The Macedonian club should have played both legs of Round 3 on the court of Norway´s IL Runar in Sandefjord over the upcoming weekend, 1-2 December.

However, according to the given information of HC Ovce Pole to IL Runar, the Macedonian outfit cancelled their participation from the 2012/13 European Cup. Therefore the EHF is forced to inform all parties involved that the matches are cancelled. Runar were awarded with default win 20:0 and qualified for the Last 16.

In total, 14 teams will be in action in the Round 3, second leg of the Men´s Challenge Cup. The Belgian club Initia Hasselt and Turkey´s BB Ankara Spor have already qualified during the first weekend of Round 3 schedule.

The European Handball Federation will handover this case to the Legal Department within the EHF Office to take further steps.
