Men's Challenge Cup Round 3, first leg preview

In total, 20 teams will be in action in Round 3 of the Men´s Challenge Cup with first leg matches to be played 24-25 November and the second leg scheduled for 1-2 December.

Six more teams are seeded for Last 16 stage and will have to wait for their action until February.

Two sides will join the half dozen already on Sunday as Montenegrin club RK Sutjeska agreed to play both matches during the weekend on the court of Belgium´s Initia Hasselt and Turkey´s BB Ankara Spor will play host to both duels with HK Spartak Varna from Bulgaria.

There is one former winner of this competition on the starting grid of Round 3 - Norway´s Drammen HK will start their attempt to repeat the success from 1996 edition (called City Cup) against Ukrainian team HC Portovik.

The match between Maccabi “Tyrec” Tel Aviv (ISR) and SPE Strovolos (CYP) scheduled to be played on Saturday, 24 November at 17.00 hrs. local time in Tel Aviv has been postponed due to the on-going security issues in the region. An announcement on the playing of the match will be made in due course based on an assessment of the situation in the region.
