Ten plus four will join Cup Winners´ Cup Last 16 list

After two participants of the EHF Champions League Qualification Round clinched their berths in the Women´s Cup Winners´ Cup Last 16 already during the previous weekend, the remaining part of the starting grid will be completed by Sunday, 18 November.

Ten more teams will join WHC Metalurg from Macedonia and Balonmano Bera Bera from Spain the Round 3 of this competition and four other outfits will get their second European chance after they rank third in the final standings of EHF Champions League Group Matches also on Sunday.

The draw of the Last 16 pairings will take place on Tuesday, 20 November (11:00 hrs local time) at the EHF Office in Vienna.

Apart from Macedonia´s side HC Žito Prilep who can hardly dream about the Last 16 after they lost to France´s Issy Handball by fourteen goals at home other matches of the second leg still gives at least some hope for all losing teams of the first leg, since the biggest difference is five goals.

In three places both legs will be played over the weekend as Polish champions Vistal Łączpol Gdynia play hosts to HC Gomel from Belarus, Dutch title holders face twice at home Norway´s runners-up Byåsen Trondheim and German league finalists TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen meet Turkish side Izmir BSB SK also twice in front of their fans – on Saturday in Wuppertal and on Sunday in Leverkusen.
