Belarusian champions agreed with experienced line player until the end of the season.
Minsk sign Serbian line player Nikolić
Before the crucial battles for the placement in the VELUX EHF Champions League Last 16 Dinamo Minsk have bolstered their team with a new line player. Belarusian champions signed Ratko Nikolić (35) until the end of the season.
Former Portland San Antonio and KIF Kolding’s player, also ex-captain of Serbian national team, will try to help Belarusians to achieve their goals.
"I had a few proposals in past few weeks, but people from Minsk were the most serious and we made agreement in five minutes.
"I didn’t hesitate, as I heard a lot of nice things about the team from goalkeeper Dimitrije Pejanović," said Nikolić for ehfcl.com and also revealed his ambitions with the new team.
"Ambitions are the highest in the domestic competitions. Of course, that means ´double crown´ in Belarus and for the Champions League it means to go as far as we can.
"I think that we have a nice chance to qualify for the Last 16. I saw some quality matches of my new team in the first four rounds."
Despite the veteran was without a team in the first three months of the season, he feels ready to give 100 per cent of his capabilities.
"Sincerely, I didn’t hurry with a new professional challenge. I feel totally fit and able to play two or three more seasons on high level," concluded Nikolić, who will be available for the Europe´s premier club competition only from Round 8 in February.
