New and big injuries problems for Budućnost before the Sunday’s match
Budućnost hit by goalkeepers injuries
The coach of reigning European champions explained that none of their goalkeepers is 100 percent ready for the Sunday’s match with Thüringer HC in Round 4 of EHF Champions League. And Budućnost is already without line player Dragana Cvijić and right back Elena Gjeorgijevska for the Group Phase.
At the moment Croatian Katarina Bralo is the only one goalkeeper certain to be in the squad against Thüringer HC. The first goalkeeper Clara Woltering last week in Germany at the match with THC went out of the court because of ankle injury, but a greater problem is the pain the German goalkeeper and new captain of the team Woltering is having in the right hand.
"The situation with Clara Woltering is very problematic. Her character and desire are not questionable, so I hope she will manage to overcome the pain and help the team. Anyway, we are prepared to any variant, and we will try to help her or any other goalkeeper who would have to stand in the goal,” Dragan Adžić said.
For Sunday it is certain that Marina Vukčević will not be between the posts. “We will try to spare her due to problems she is having for two weeks with her shoulders”, Adžić added.
Thüringer HC is the only team so far who managed to beat Budućnost in the group (24:20), last week in Germany. So, Budućnost on Sunday is looking to get a revenge and possible to win by a larger goal-difference than four goals.
“I believe we will play better than in Germany. We know each other very well, Thüringer HC plays with more energy than Viborg and Zvezda Zvenigorod together, and it is ahead of other teams in that element. But, I believe we will be ahead of them on Sunday”, concluded Adžić.
