Qualification groups for 2013 Women's 19 EURO

Seven qualification groups with four teams each for the 2013 Women's 19 European Championship in Denmark were drawn on Tuesday, 23 October, at the European Handball Federation in Vienna, Austria.

The draw was made by EHF Vice President Arne Elovsson and EHF Secretary General Michael Wiederer.

The organisation rights for the respective qualification tournaments were also drawn on Tuesday.

The draw was made with first right to row one, second right to row four, third to row two and fourth to row three.

However, because Hungary and Ukraine already organised two of the 2011 Women's 19 European Championship qualification groups, the first right to organise Group 1 went to the Czech Republic.

The first organisation right for Group 2 went to France, Group 3 to Sweden, Group 4 to Romania, Group 5 to the Netherlands, Group 6 to Croatia and Group 7 to Slovakia.

Denmark as the organiser and second ranked nation at the 2011 Women's 17 European Championship have already qualified. Russia as the first ranked nation at the 2011 Women's 17 European Championship and Norway as the third ranked nation at the 2011 Women's 17 European Championship have also already qualified.

At the end of the qualification two teams each will qualify from Groups 1 and 6, one team will qualify from Group 7.

The 2013 Women's 19 European World Championship in Denmark takes place from 1 to 11 August 2013.

The playing dates for the qualification tournaments are 17 to 19 May 2013.

Group 1: Hungary, Czech Republic, Israel, Ukraine

Group 2: France, Portugal, Montenegro, Italy

Group 3: Sweden, Germany, Turkey, Finland

Group 4: Romania, Poland, Slovenia, Great Britain

Group 5: Netherlands, Austria, Bulgaria, Armenia

Group 6: Croatia, Spain, Lithuania, Switzerland

Group 7: Slovakia, Iceland, Serbia, Moldova
