Dalibor Cutura signs for Constanta

Serbian national team player Dalibor Cutura (37) will continue his career in Romanian champion, HCM Constanta, with whom he has signed two years contract. 

The experienced playmaker left Spain after nine successful seasons (Octavio Pilotes, Alcobendas, Arrate), with his last period as a member of Reale Ademar Leon, the team who participated in the VELUX EHF Champions League quarter-final stage last season.

“I have come to a big team, which is is permanent in the Champions League, he told the Romanian press.

“I will give my best to help that team achieve its ambitions. The first goal is to qualify for the Champions League group phase.”

Silver medal winner at the EHF EURO 2012 in Serbia, Cutura is the sixth reinforcement for the Romanian squad this summer. 

The Spaniards Alberto Sancho Val (line player) and Humet Gaminde (right back), Serbian line player Milutin Dragicevic (he already played on the Black Sea coast before Denmark and Germany) and two Romanian goalkeepers, Alexandru Vasiliu and Ionut Iancu.

HCM Constanta is the host team of the VELUX EHF Champions League Qualification Tournament on the weekend of 8/9 September.

The Romanians will play against Italian side SSV Loacker Bozen in the semi-finals. 

As the favourites, the Romanian champions expect to meet the better team in the clash between Tatran Presov (Slovakia)and Maccabi Srugo Rishon (Israel) in the final.
