EHF EURO 2012 draw on 22 June
The EHF has announced that the draw for the Women’s EHF European Championship will be held in Monaco on 22 June 2012 as part of the EHF Congress.
Europe’s flagship national team event for women will be played in Serbia from 4 to 16 December 2012 in Belgrade, Nis, Novi Sad and Vrsac.
A total of 16 teams will take part in the event. Norway as defending champions will be joined by Germany, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Russia, FYR Macedonia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Ukraine and Iceland.
Iceland qualified for the event as the best third-placed team in qualification, taking the host place of the Netherlands, following their withdrawal from the organisation of the event.

Pot 1: Norway, Sweden, Romania and Croatia

Pot 2: France, Montenegro, Germany and Ukraine
(first ranked teams of qualification groups)
Pot 3: Serbia, Denmark, Russia and Hungary
(second ranked teams of qualification groups)
Pot 4: Spain, Czech Republic, FYR Macedonia and Iceland
(second/third ranked teams of qualification groups)
