New coach for Oltchim

Jakob Vestergaard will take over coaching duties from Radu Voina at Oltchim Rm.Vâlcea. The Danish coach signed a one-year deal with the Romanian champions, who have also announced the transfer of Montenegrian right-back, Katarina Bulatović.

Vestergaard, who won the EHF Women’s Champions League trophy with Viborg HK in 2009 and 2010, will replace Radu Voina, whose contract was terminated by the Romanian champions' board.

“Oltchim has a very good team right now. My mission won’t be the easiest one, but I'm up for a challenge. I am nervous about starting my work in Vâlcea and I can only hope that the fans will help me and the team to win all the games”, said Vestergaard, after signing the contract with Oltchim.

After winning the EHF Women’s Champions League for the first time with Budućnost, Katarina Bulatović will leave the Montegrian side to join Oltchim Rm.Vâlcea. Bulatović, one of the greatest backs in Europe, has signed a one-year contract with the Romanian champions and hopes to retain the title next season.

“I leave Budućnost after a great period, with a lot of trophies. Oltchim put a lot of effort into trying to persuade me to sign for them and I finally pulled the trigger. I'm happy with my choice and I can’t wait to play for Oltchim”, said Bulatović, a player who scored 97 goals last season in the EHF Champions League.

Bulatović is Oltchim’s fifth big transfer this year. The Romanian champions have previously signed Allison Pineau, Amandine Leynaud, Alexandrina Barbosa and Silvia Navarro.
