The VELUX EHF FINAL4 team, AG Kobenhavn beat Kolding in the second leg of the semi-final 28:23 and have qualified for the final on 2 June 2012.

After a 26:26 draw in the first leg of their semi-final against Kolding they beat their opponent at home, 28:23 and reached the Danish final for the second time in a row – which would also mean the direct qualification for the 2012/13 season of the VELUX EHF Champions League.

As the winner of the regular season, AG Kobenhavn, have the home right in the second leg of the Danish finals. Due to the big public interest this match will be played in the Boxen Arena in Herning, venue of the Women’s EHF EURO 2010 final round.

Their opponents will be Bjerringbro Silkeborg after their victories against Tvis Holstebro.

AGK played a strong first half against KIF Kolding, leading 16:10 after 30 minutes – and sensationally Joachim Boldsen was in the AGK squad for the first time after several weeks of injury.

And after reaching 21:12 in the 40th minute, AGK key players were able to easy back and save their strength for the VELUX EHF FINAL4.

“It was great to be back on court and now we – and I – can focus on the VELUX EHF FINAL4,” Boldsen said after his comeback to Danish TV station TV2.

Boldsen was injured after only 43 seconds of the first VELUX EHF Champions League Quarter-final against FC Barcelona and was thought to have been out for the rest of the season.
