"The fact that the Danes have made it to the VELUX EHF FINAL4 in their first season in the VELUX EHF Champions League is sensational.

"Of course, Kobenhavn many first class players, but it has amazed me just how quick they have become a unit, for that I take my hat off to them. The quarter-finals against FC Barcelona Intersport showed that they absolutely deserved to qualify for the VELUX EHF FINAL4."

Atletico Madrid

"Despite all the apparent negative circumstances - such as the rumours of financial problems and their relocation from Ciudad Real to Madrid - the team played a very strong season.

"Also, thanks to their great coach, they have delivered some impressive performances."

"Füchse Berlin really surprised me, above all because they continue to play consistently and to a very high level, even after a very strong previous season.

"The team has made it to Cologne with fewer ‘stars’ in comparison; in the offence they play a consequent game and have in Silvio Heinevetter a very special class of goalkeeper. Above all, the return match against Reale Ademar Leon was just magnificent."

THW Kiel

"THW Kiel have played a unique season and had an unbelievable run. They have won the German Championship and Cup and I think that they will also thrill the fans in Cologne.
