Yet another transfer for Oltchim!

The Romanian champions announced their fourth signing for the new season. Grupo Asfi Itxako Navarra’s goalkeeper, Silvia Navarro, has signed a one-year contract with Oltchim.

Navarro is another “victim” of Oltchim’s intense activity on the transfer market during the last three months. The Romanian team has already confirmed three transfers. French duo Allison Pineau and Amandine Leynaud were the first players who signed with Oltchim in March. Two weeks ago, Oltchim announced they managed to convince Alexandrina Barbosa to play for at least one year in Râmnicu Vâlcea. 

The Spanish goalkeeper, 33, has joined Grupo Asfi Itxako Navarra in 2006 and has helped her team qualify for the EHF Women’s Champions League’s final in 2011.

“I wanted a change and Oltchim’s offer was what I needed. I won’t deny that several clubs wanted me, but the Romanian team has already signed Alexandrina Barbosa, who is one of my closest friends. She told me that Oltchim has really high ambitions so the choice was easy. I want to win EHF Women’s Champions League with Oltchim next season”, said Navarro after she signed with the Romanian team.
