14th USPE European Police Handball Championship Draw

The draw for the 14th Union Sportive des Polices d'Europe (USPE) European Police Championship in Men's Handball took place at the EHF Headquarters in Vienna, Austria on Tuesday 24 April 2012.

The Final Tournament of the European Police Championship will take place in Göppingen (GER) from 19 to 25 June 2012 with a total of eight teams competing in the EWS Arena.

The delegation of USPE was led by President Luc Smeyers and Secretary General Fred Kusserow along with representatives from the participating nations and the Austrian Police Sports Association.

The co-operation of the USPE with the EHF dates back to 2004 when a cooperation contract was signed between the EHF and USPE in La Roche-sur-Yon (FRA) on the occasion of the 2004 European Police Championship in Handball Men. This cooperation includes the nomination of EHF referee couples for the championships, support towards development and knowledge exchange.

The result of the draw is as follows:

Group A:             Germany, France, Norway, Switzerland
Group B:             Turkey, Hungary, Denmark, Sweden
