TV record for club match in Denmark

It was not just a spectator record that AG Kobenhavn enjoyed on Friday, as almost 22,000 watch their Quarter-final clash with FC Barcelona Intersport.

Danish Radio, Denmark’s national television station, is reporting record viewing figures for the first leg match, which the home side won 29:23.

A total of 1,113,000 viewers followed the second half of the match, a more than impressive 45,97% market share, and a record for a club match in Denmark.

At its peak, the game was followed by almost 1.3 million people on DR1.

The return leg will be played in Barcelona on Saturday from 20.00 on DR1 in Denmark and live on ehfTV.com, the European Handball Federation’s online video platform.
