Sara Breistøl is already at the club.
Another Breistøl in Larvik
After the disappointing semi-final exit against Montenegrin Budućnost, EHF Women's Champions League title-holders Larvik are already planning for the next season.
Instead going for big international names, this time the club´s management has signed a young prospect, the gifted right-back Kristine Breistøl, who is currently playing for first division side Bækkelaget. She will join Sara Breistøl who is already at the club.
The 18-year-old signed for two years and had offers from several first league clubs, among them Storhamar, Stabæk, and newly-promoted Oppsal, but decided on Norway´s top club, Larvik.
"This is a great opportunity for Kristine to play for one of Europe's top clubs," says BSK coach Henrik Wilhelmsen.
Great talent Breistøl has scored 163 goals in the first division this season and will go hunting for goals in the Larvik jersey next season.
"I think that she will become a top player, even though it’ll be a big jump now for her from the first division to the top league. There is a slight danger that she will sit on the bench, but I hope that she’ll prove herself and get some playing time early in the Autumn," added Wilhelmsen.
