FC Barcelona Intersport lodge appeal over one match suspension for Rutenka

FC Barcelona Intersport (ESP) have lodged an appeal to the EHF Court of Appeal today (Thursday 12 April 2012) in relation to the one match suspension sanctioned on their player Siarhei Rutenka.

This follows the EHF Court of Handball decision (Thursday 5 April 2012) to sanction Rutenka with a one match suspension following his direct disqualification for serious unsportsmanlike conduct in his team’s VELUX EHF Champions League Last 16 match against Montpellier Agglomération HB (FRA) on 25 March 2012.

The decision in relation to the FC Barcelona Intersport appeal will be made before the VELUX EHF Champions League Quarter-Final First Leg match between FC Kobenhavn (DEN) and FC Barcelona Intersport on Friday 20 April 2012.
