Croatian winger leaves Rhein-Neckar Löwen and heads to Poland.
Ivan Cupic signs for Kielce
KS Vive Targi Kielce have signed another player of German side Rhein-Neckar Löwen: In the past Jurasik, Tkaczyk and Szmal have all moved from Germany to Poland, Karol Bielecki and Krzysztof Lijewski will follow after this season – and now the transfer of Ivan Cupic has been confirmed by both clubs.
The Croatian right winger – a member of the All Star Team at the 2009 World Championships – signed a three year contract at Kielce starting next season. Cupic had arrived in Mannheim in 2010 from Gorenje Velenje (Slovenia).
Cupic will be the third Croat in the current Kielce squad after Denis Buntic and Zeljko Musa. And as well as Kielce signing Cupic, they have also extended the contract of Mariusz Jurasik to 2013. But Patryk Kuchczynski and Mateusz Zaremba will leave the Polish runners-up, who narrowly failed in a 120-minute thriller against Cimos Koper to reach the Last 16 of the VELUX EHF Champions League.
