Back player Dávid Katzirz will stay at home, as the red-white-green team travels with 18 players to Serbia.
The Hungarian squad is ready
At 10 a.m on Friday morning, the latest news regarding the Hungarian squad was revealed. Coach Lajos Mocsai announced that Csurgó´s back player Dávid Katzirz won’t travel with the other players to Novi Sad, Hungary’s preliminary group city.
"It was an extremely difficult decision, as Dávid was outstanding in his exemplary work during the gathering time. He had a long break due to his injury, but made every effort to reach top shape," commented Mocsai.
"His lack of playing time and the structure of our defensive and attacking systems were the key factors for this decision," added the experienced coach.
Hungary will travel to Novi Sad tomorrow, where they will face Russia on Monday at 20:15 in the second game of the group, which follows the France-Spain opening clash.
