EHF EURO 2012 to start in one week

One week before the start of EHF EURO 2012 the teams are gathering and in the final phase of their preparation for the continental event of the year.

The last series of test games and tournaments are in the process of being played and the final squads are about to be determined.

Some of the teams are facing severe injury problems and are trying to find suitable replacements for their missing key players, while others are busy experimenting with different attacking and defensive systems.

All teams have high hopes and expectations before the biggest European National Team event, as the EHF EURO will decide, besides the usual medals, which countries will participate in the Olympic Qualification tournaments.

Serbia, with its host cities, Novi Sad (welcoming France, Hungary, Russia and Spain), Vrsac (welcoming Croatia, Iceland, Norway and Slovenia), Belgrade (welcoming Denmark, Poland, Serbia and Slovakia) and Nis (welcoming Czech Republic, FYR Macedonia, Germany and Sweden) is making the final steps of venue preparation.

All four cities and venues are ready to welcome massive numbers of fans and spectators from all over Europe who will fill the venues to maximum capacity as they cheer for their national teams as loudly as possible.

EHF EURO 2012 commences in Belgrade and Nis on 15th January, whilst Vrsac and Novi Sad will host their first games on Monday 16th.
