Information for fans attending EHF EURO 2012 in Serbia

Dear Handball Friends,

For the safety of all attending EHF EURO 2012 and in order to avoid any kind of misunderstandings as well as making the stay of all visitors and fans of national teams in Serbia pleasant, we kindly ask you to be aware of the following:

In accordance with the rules and regulations of the Republic of Serbia and EHF Regulations, security measures will be in place for all visitors and participants.

Measures against sabotage will be in place for all visitors and participants at the EHF EURO 2012 sporting arenas.

The application of technical devices (detectors, etc.) will include an overview of each visitor by security in order to prevent of taking in to the hall any objects that could endanger the safety of participants or obstruct the competition in any way.

It will not be permitted to bring into the sporting arenas:

Metal Coins

Lighters

Pyrotechnics

Anything in the form of spray or bottle (perfume, deodorant, nail polish, etc.)

Bottles and cans (water, alcohol or other liquids) into the sporting arenas

Assets that produce sound effects (only three drums and one megaphone will be allowed)

Whistles, horns or other sound and lighting systems or devices that can interfere with a match

Banners which are placed inside (except official, authorised ones)

Any clothes with offensive insignias / other than those of the national teams

Flags of huge proportions (small state flags are permitted without flagpoles)

In the Republic of Serbia alcoholic drinks are prohibited from being sold and consumed two hours before, during, and two hours after the end of the match in front of sports arenas and at a distance of one kilometre away from the sports arenas in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis, and 300 metres in Vrsac.

Fans under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behaviour can be deemed as violent or inappropriate, as well as those without identity documents will be denied access by the security services to the sports arenas which are all non-smoking.
