European Masters Games in Lignano Sabbiadoro (ITA)

The second edition of the European Masters Games is scheduled to take place from 10 to 20 September 2011 in Lignano Sabbiadoro (ITA). The event is set to break records with 20 sport disciplines showcased and 3591 registered entrants.

The handball competitions of the 2011 European Masters Handball Championships for Men and Women are among the largest of the events with 32 participating teams across four age categories. They will start on 13 September and conclude on 18 September.

Masters age classes

The age classes for women are 33+ and 43+, the men compete in the classes 35+, 45+ and 50+.

Between 13 and 15 September 2011, women 43+, men 45+ and men 50+ will be played out. Thereafter, from 15 to 18 September 2011, the remaining tournaments for women 33+ and men 35+ will be carried out.

The matches of the 2011 European Masters Handball Championships for Men and Women will be played in two indoor venues, Palazzetto dello Sport in Latisana and in PalaCus, Udine.
