EHF EURO 2012 Final Tournament Draw

In the EHF EURO 2012 Qualification there are still two rounds left to play. Four national teams have already booked their ticket for the event to be played in Novi Sad, Vršac, Niš and Belgrade.

Joining hosts Serbia and reigning champions France, Hungary and Croatia already booked their tickets to the final tournament thanks to four victories in four qualification matches. The qualification continues with the last two rounds 5 and 6, which will be carried out on 08/09 and 11/12 June 2011.

Sixteen teams, fourteen of which from the qualification – the teams finishing first and second in each of the seven qualification groups – will participate at the EHF EURO 2012 in Serbia.

Draw event in Belgrade

The final tournament draw will decide the four groups of four teams each for the tournament that will take place on 15-29 January 2012.

The final tournament draw will be staged on 15 June 2011 at midday in Belgrade. It will take place in the Belexpo Convention Centre attached to the Holiday Inn Hotel.

On the guest list of the draw event amongst others there will be EHF president Tor Lian, Serbian Minister of Sports Snežana Samardžić-Marković who is also President of the EHF EURO 2012 Organising Committee and Velimir Marjanović, President of the Serbian Handball Federation.

The draw event will be accompanied by a spectacular show programme with several live music and performance acts, including the Official EHF EURO 2012 Song by the Cutura Band and a “Handball Fantasy show” by Igor Trifunović.

Draw broadcast

The draw event will be broadcast live on television and also be available as a live web stream on the official website.
