Methods Commission Update

The EHF Methods Commission assembled on 25/26 February 2011 in Vienna for a summit, including participants from the Methods Commission and from the EHF office. Besides other issues such as the set-up of an 2011 activity master plan in the fields of educational and further training coaching courses, development aid programmes and school handball/summer campsseveral major decisions were taken.

The MC plan to organise a Top Coaches’ Course during the Men’s EHF EURO 2012 in Serbia in cooperation with the organising committee.

The follow-up of the 2011 Rinck Convention seminar is on full swing. The goal is to get all federations to join the Rinck convention in order to build a strong structure for the future of the sport of handball. Therefore signatory nations will cooperate with non-signatories to bring them closer to joining, no matter what level they start on.

One of the common goals is a standardised Coaches’ Licensing system to be installed in 2012 with the EHF Master Coach as highest reachable level. An EHF "pilot" Master Coach course in 2 modules is planned for 2011 as a supplementary offer for those already planned by the signatories.

The EHF also clearly stated the further interest in cooperating with the Streethandball Organisation group from Denmark in terms of promoting this new activityEurope-wide.
