The event will take place from 12 – 22 August 2010 in Montenegro.
 

2010 Men’s 18 European Championship

The concluding European competition on this year’s handball summer calendar, the Men’s 18 ECh, will take place from the 12 – 22 August 2010 and includes 16 youth national teams (players born 1992 and younger).

The event will be hosted by Montenegro; the matches will be played in two venues in Podgorica and Niksic, as follows:

Sporstki Centar Moraca, Podgorica

Group A: Norway, Croatia, Sweden, Poland
Group B: Denmark, Serbia, Slovakia, Russia

Sportski Centar Niksic, Niksic

Group C: Germany, Spain, Montenegro, Portugal
Group D: Slovenia, Switzerland, Iceland, Czech Republic

Each team will play a round-robin system within their group with the top 2 teams advancing to the Main Round (playing for the places 1 to 8), and the third and fourth placed teams meeting in the Intermediate Round (playing for the places 9 to 16).

The top 9 teams of the 2010 Men’s 18 European Championship (plus France, as participants in the IOC Youth Games in Singapore) will secure their place at the IV Men's Youth World Championship 2011 (IHF Event) in Argentina.
