EHF EURO 2010 in Denmark and Norway: Final Tournament Draw

Odense will be the capital of women’s handball on the weekend on 4-6 June 2010. A number of important events will take place in the Danish city including the EHF EURO 2010 Final Tournament draw, a sport strategic conference, and the 75th anniversary celebration of the Danish Handball Federation.

The remaining two rounds of the Women’s EHF EURO 2010 Qualification will be played on 26-30 May 2010.

From this qualification, a total of 14 teams will qualify for the 2010 Women’s European Championship taking place on 7-19 December in Denmark and Norway. These 14 will join the two organisers and line up for the draw.

The Final Tournament Draw will take place on 5 June 2010 in Odense, in the half-time break of the international friendly match between Denmark and Norway (see below).

The draw will be carried out at expectedly at 16:55hrs and will be televised live on the Danish TV2 and Norwegian TV4.

The official website of the EHF EURO 2010, www.ehf-euro.com, will stream the draw procedure live.

More information on the teams, pots and draw procedure will be published as soon as the EHF EURO Qualification comes to an end.

75th anniversary
The Danish Handball Federation is looking back at a highly successful history of 75 years. In the run up to the EHF EURO 2010 that will take place in December in Denmark and Norway, the Federation decided to celebrate the great occasion with an international friendly.

On 5 June 2010 at 16:15hrs the women’s National Team of Denmark will receive Norway in the Fyn Arena of Odense.
