Confident about defence, Ciudad Reals Didier Dinart wants it all at the EHF FINAL4.
“No others defends like we do”
Didier Dinart is not the key player who scores ten goals per game; however every coach wants him for his team. The French star player is looking forward to the EHF FINAL4 with ambition and confidence in both his team-mates and the defensive performances of Ciudad Real.
Ciudad has proved to be one of the strongest teams in the ongoing competition and Dinart is well aware of that. “I am really confident about our defensive work. I don’t think that any other team can play defence as intelligent as we do. For me, defending on the central position is very enjoyable, as I like to manage and order the defence. Frankly, I feel more comfortable playing this position for Ciudad Real that for the national team of France.”
Dinart, the brain and the heart of the reigning EHF Champions League winners believes in their chance to reach the final at the EHF FINAL4: “We know that our semi-final opponent, THW Kiel, will be a very difficult opponent. But I prefer to play against Kiel to meeting Barcelona,” the Frenchman explained.
But the EHF FINAL4 is not Ciudad’s only objective in this season. The Spanish team has two more advanced goals: one is to win the Super Globe in Qatar and the second one is not to lose a single game in the Spanish League. Until now Ciudad has not lost any match and will try to keep the zero defeats in the last game against Cuenca.
“For us it is important, no team has ever managed to play a season in Spain without a defeat. And the Spanish League is one of strongest in the world,” Dinart explained.
