Arbitration Tribunal confirms Valladolid player ban

The EHF Arbitration Tribunal has taken a final decision in the case related to the 2009/10 EHF Men’s Champions League group match between Montpellier HB (FRA) and Pevafersa Valladolid (ESP) which took place on 7 March 2010.

On 12 March, the EHF Body of 1st Instance made a decision on the case of Oscar Perales after the player received a direct disqualification for an action of serious unsportsmanlike conduct in the last seconds of the above specified game.

The EHF Body of 1st Instance suspended Oscar Perales for one match of an EHF club competition, which means that he will not be eligible to play the next match of his team, versus Rhein Neckar Löwen taking place on 27 March 2010 in Valladolid.

On 23 March 2010, the EHF Arbitration Tribunal confirmed the decision of the EHF Body of 1st Instance.

Right to appeal

In line with the EHF Arbitration Regulations, a statement of claim may be filed at the EHF Court of Arbitration within 21 days.
