Challenge Trophy throws off in Israel

The sixth edition of the 2010 IHF/EHF Women’s Challenge Trophy will be hosted by two National Federations, Israel and Estonia. On 19-21 March four teams – Armenia, Cyprus and Malta and the host Israel – will begin the competition in the city of Ramat Gan/Tel Aviv, Israel.

The winner of the tournament will step on court in the Final and face the winner of the other regional group (coming up in April in Estonia). The Final will be organised within the framework of Women’s EHF EURO 2010.

The event is a cooperation event between the International Handball Federation and the European Handball Federation. Both federations share the responsibility of further developing the competition based on the commitment of both federations to continue providing high level events for developing nations.

You can follow the tournament on www.eurohandball.com where the results of the games and the standings will be continuously updated over the weekend. For the subpage of the 2010 IHF/EHF Women’s Challenge Trophy  please click here.
