The Croatians with five EURO medallists and major changes in the squad.
Zagreb CO welcomes FCK
On Saturday the Men’s EHF Champions League will see a big clash when Zagreb Croatia Osiguranje will meet FC København in the Zagreb Arena. The first duel of the two rivals – played in the Danish town of Farum – ended with the very close result of 29:28 in favour of Zagreb. This time the Croatians will be much more cautious.
Without Løke, Gajič and Lubej
Comparing to the Farum match there will be some changes in Zagreb team. Since line player Frank Løke received a suspension from the EHF, it is most likely that he will leave the club. His replacement is Hungarian international Gyula Gál. The two Slovenian internationals Dragan Gajič and Zoran Lubej have already left the team and can thus not participate in the upcoming CL matches.
Five EURO medallists in Zagreb
The match in the Zagreb Arena will be a great opportunity for all Croatian handball fans to see no less than five silver medallists from the recent EHF EURO 2010 in Austria, Balić, Kopljar, Gojun, Valčić and Štrlek.
Coach Senjanin Maglajlija is very clear about the match against the Scandinavians: „Zagreb is already in the European Top 16, but our goal is the second place in or Group. So, we must take the match against FCK very seriously – and win it."
