News keep coming from the Men's CL despite the short break in the competitions. A short summary.

Stranovsky will miss Prce and Castresana for two monthsCastresana and Prce injured

Pivot and back player of Reale Ademar will miss at least three CL matches.

Hector Castresana injured his finger at an Asobal match in Barcelona. Earlier, international of Bosna and Herzgovina Nikola Prce fell during a training and seriously injured his foot. Left back will undergo surgery and therapies afterwards.

Since the return of the two players will take an estimated two months, Castresana and Prce will miss three CL matches: away to Barcelona and two matches against Kolding.

Comeback of Dragan Đukić

The Serbian coach returns in Pick Szeged after six years. Recently he was appointed national team coach of Great Britain. He also coached national teams of FYR Macedonia, Jordan and Switzerland in the past as well as many clubs in Serbia, FYR Macedonia, Portugal and Hungary.

After nine years spent in Szeged, Vladan Matić and Pick Szeged break up on mutual agreement.

Vladan Matić was one of the most successful coaches in the history of the club. He arrived in Pick Szeged in 2001 from Partizan as a player, left winger. After the end of his playing carrier, he took over coaching the team. In 2007 Matić brought to Szeged long awaited trophy in the Hungarian Championship (after 11 years of Veszprém domination).

Barcelona not complete yet

Waiting for the better resultsA defeat in the Palau Blau Grana against Ciudad at the beginning of the Spanish league and a defeat from Kiel in the CL cast doubt on the bright future of Barcelona. The team recently made a draw in Leon.

“We are building a new team and we need to finish this work. Our backcourt must function better and we are working on it,” explained coach Xavi Pascual.

However, the efforts of the players make the coach confident: “I’m very happy with the team. Sometimes results are not coming, but we do our best.”

Cristian Ugalde, a Spanish national player is also positive

“Our situation is difficult but we have time to recover. We are three points behind Ciudad, but we are very confident. We have to work harder and improve.”
