Sweden prepare: 22nd Men’s Handball World Championship in 2011

While preparation for the EHF EURO 2010 in Austria are well underway, another EHF Member Federation is working on the successful organisation of a major national team event.

The 22nd Men’s Handball World Championship will take place in Sweden on 13-30 January 2011. The 24 best national teams in the World will be meeting in Sweden including 14 European national sides. Sweden (organiser) and France (defending champion) have already qualified, while three more European teams will earn their places at the EHF EURO 2010 in Austria. The rest of the teams play qualifiers at the end of June 2010.

Tickets on sale

With 15 months from the start of the event, the Swedish organisers release the first ticket packages for sale, among them 2,500 tickets for the final in Malmö.

Fans can apply to buy tickets on www.handball2011.com. Further packages will be released in March 2010 (more tickets for the final and also ’follow-your-team’ passes).
