Qualification Tournament 2 was played this weekend at four venues. Byasen, Zvezda Zvenigorod, FCK Handbold and Aalborg DH will join the CL elite.
Women’s CL: groups complete
The Qualification Tournament 2 was played over the weekend by 16 teams at four venues. All four QT2 winners finished with six points winning all their matches.
Group 1
The Norwegian Byasen showed a convincing performance in the Polish city of Lublin. The Nordic club clinched three victories including a 29:19 over the hosts.
Byasen will join Group A of the Group Matches and will meet Danish Viborg, Croatian Podravka and German Leipzig.
Group 2
Russian Zvezda Zvenigorod, stepped on court in Trencin, Slovkia. The CL winners of two seasons ago proved to have a place in the Champions League by beating a Slovenian, a Dutch opponent and the hosts.
Zvezda will join Group C and face Hungarian Győri ETO, Romanian Oltchim Valcea and Spanish Itxako.
Group 3
FCK Handbold secured their place in the Group Matches in Uzhgorod, Ukraine. The closest game of the Danes was against Hungarian FTC – even this was an 11-goal victory.
FCK will continue in Group D against Russian HC Dinamo, Norwegian Larvik and Montenegrin Buducnost.
Group 4
The other Danish team of QT2, Aalborg DH, also qualified from their group. The Danes played at home and secured group victory with a five-goal success over Spanish Parc Sagunt on Sunday.
Aalborg will meet Austrian Hypo, Slovenian Krim and French Metz at the Group Matches.
