Oltchim prepare

Oltchim Valcea organised an international tournament, the Constantin Stanculescu Memorial. Apart from the hosts, the participants were H.C.M. Roman and Tomis Constanta from Romania and Vrnjačka Banja from Serbia.

The team of Radu Voina won the tournament and the best players received their awards. The best scorer was Mihaela Tivadar (H.C.M. Roman) with 25 goals. Paula Ungureanu (Oltchim Valcea) was best goalkeeper and Ramona Maier (Oltchim Valcea) was the best player of the tournament.

Ungureanu and Stanca arrive

Ungureanu with her MVP awardThe Constantin Stanculescu Memorial tournament was a great opportunity for all Oltchim fans to see two new faces in the team. Line player Ionela Stanca returned after a season in Rulmentul Brasov. The Romanian international signed a two-year contract for the team of Radu Voina.

Goalkeeper Paula Ungureanu arrived from Podravka Vegeta. She will be an excellent replacement for Luminita Dinu who decided to retire at the end of last season. The 29-year old signed a one-year contract.

The third player to sign was Ukranian international Olga Vasciuk. The right back born in 1987 comes from Motor Zaporozhye.

Compared to last season, Luminita Dinu, Rita Borbás, Elena Avadanii, Roxana Cherascu and Raluca Ivan left the team.

On 21st August Oltchim Valcea will take part in the Szabella Cup in Debrecen, Hungary, together with Győri AUDI ETO, Hypo Niederősterreich and Debrecen.
