Kometal GP withdraw from CL

The European Handball Federation has been informed by the FYR Macedonian champion, Kometal GP, in a letter dated on Friday 19 June 2009 that due to a difficult economic situation the club cannot take part in the 2009/10 season of the Women’s EHF Champions League.

As Kometal Gjorce Petrov were among the teams directly qualifying for the EHF Champions League Group Matches, EHF adapted the seeding list accordingly.

The place of Kometal GP in the Group Matches of the EHF Champions League was taken by French champion Metz Handball.

As a consequence, AC Ormi-Loux Patras from Greece will move to Group 4 of the Qualification Tournaments 2 and take the place of Metz Handball. Patras will have the first right to organise Group 4 of Qualification Tournament 2.

Qualification Tournament 2, Group 4

1. Aalborg DH
2. Balonmano Parc Sagunt
3. AC Ormi-Loux Patras
