Following allegations of manipulations of the 2006/2007 Men’s EHF Champions League Final between THW Kiel and SG Flensburg Handewitt on 29 April 2007 and the initiation of official criminal proceedings in relation to this match by the State Prosecutor of Kiel, information was collected on the issue by the EHF via the Initiator of Proceedings.

Based on this information, on the final observations of the Initiator of Proceedings, and in compliance with the given deadline of limitation of action, today the EHF has officially requested the EHF Arbitration Tribunal to initiate proceedings in connection with the aforementioned game.

As for the other cases currently handled by the EHF Arbitration Tribunal, the EHF wishes all circumstances related to the 2006/07 CL Final to be clarified.
