2009 Women's 19 ECh Qualification

A total of 13 teams qualified via qualification for the Final Tournament of the W19 European Championship that will take place in Győr, Pápa and Szombathely, Hungary, from 14 to 23 August 2009.

The national teams of Hungary (organiser), France (winner of the 2007 W17 ECh) and Spain (runner-up of the 2007 W17 ECh) were already directly qualified. The remaining 13 places were decided over the weekend.

The following teams qualified from the qualification groups:

Group 1-5 (2 teams from each group): Slovenia, Slovakia, Denmark, Poland, Netherlands, Austria, Montenegro, Serbia, Russia, Romania.
Group 6-8 (1 team qualified from each group): Germany, Norway, Sweden.

Substitutes:

No. 1: Czech Republic (2nd group 6)
No. 2: FYR Macedonia (2nd. group 7)
No. 3: Croatia (2nd. group 8)

The draw for the final tournament will take place on Tuesday, 21 April 2009 at 11:00 hrs in the EHF Officein Vienna, Austria. The procedure for the draw will be published within the next days. The organiser Hungary will have the right to choose the group.
