Zovko's Podravka back on track

Zovko did it again. After very long time, the Croatian champions managed to win an away match against a Danish team.

Now Podravka Vegeta have two points from three matches and this victory means much more then just two points gained.

“After two defeats we managed to win away against a powerful team with famous players. That's why this victory is very important for us, especially on a psychological level,” said Zovko.

Courage and determination

There is no time for rest. On Saturday Viborg will arrive in Koprivnica. The Danish team lost in Vienna and will arrive without their top scorer Bojana Popović. The coach of Podravka Vegeta knows what his team must do.

“Important is that now our goal must be to reach eight points. We must act accordingly. We made progress and now we know how we have to play against strong teams. We also know how to win away. Surprisingly, it seems that we play much better away then at home. That's little bit strange, but also very encouraging.”

Viborg are favourites for winning the CL title, but they are only two points away from Podravka. Zovko is confident that his team will celebrate on Saturday.

“We simply have to continue winning. A good start will be very important against Viborg. We must enter the court with courage, like we did last time. With courage and determination, I’m convinced that we will defeat Viborg. I’m very optimistic about this match because I know that we have so much space for improvement in our game.”
