Zovko eager to beat Hypo

Coach of Podravka Vegeta Zdravko Zovko is highly motivated before the first round match against Hypo. Good news is that after quiet some time he can count on all of his players.

Eurohandball.com: You did a great job in Koprivnica so far. In your second season as a coach you achieved the best result of the club in the last 10 years. Do you intend to stay and continue the job?

Zdravko Zovko: It is early to say anything about that. I have a contract until the end of this season. It is only possible to extend it if both parties show interest.

Eurohandball.com: Despite many friendly matches played in this season in Croatia, the Regional League and CL matches, your team does not have problems with injuries. It seems that you wisely planned the preparations…

Zdravko Zovko: You don't need a reason for injuries, they simply happen. We had problems with Tatari who injured herself at a friendly match in Hungary. Injuries are simply part of every sport, but also they are the worst thing that can happen to an athlete. I hope we will not have many problems of that kind.

Eurohandball.com: Your first opponent in main round will be Hypo. Podravka already played against the Austrians this season, so you know them well…

Zdravko Zovko: Hypo are always Hypo. They were CL finalists and they have been a top European team in the last 20 years. Great club, great coach, great international players. The have excellent players for all positions, they even have two world class players in some positions. In addition, they won CL eight times so it is all really big motivation for us to play well and to make a good result in Koprivnica.
