Champions League returns in January

Competition in the Champions League 2008/09 season will resume on 2 January 2009 with the ladies on the court.

The women will continue with the fourth round of the group matches. The outcome of the groups is still unpredictable at halfway with only two unbeaten teams from the 16.

The women’s teams will play the last three rounds of the group stage on the first three weekends of January. The Main Round draw will be carried out on 20 January.

Break for the men

The Main Round groups of the Men’s CL have been drawn, but there is still plenty of time until the games.

The 2009 World Championship will take place in Croatia from 16 January – 1 February. Accordingly, the men’s CL teams will take a break and will return on 11 February.

You can enjoy a complete CL coverage in the New Year as well.

All eight games in Round 4 of the Women’s Champions League from 2-4 January 2009 will be live on various national TV channels.

Two games will be live on ehfTV.com: Metz vs Krim on 3 January and Valcea vs Lada on 4 January. As usual, you will be able to find all the games delayed and the match highlights among the ehfTV.com videos.

The website of the Champions League will be updated before Round 4 and you will find the weekly round-up as well.
