Miguel Galarraga: “I am hopeful to get a title this season”

Portland San Antonio is finishing the first stage of the season with good feelings after the change in the bench at the beginning of the year. Chechu Villaldea has brought new blood to the team and his president Miguel Galarraga is proud of him. Portland president is convinced that his team will get a title this season.

ehfCL.com: What do you think about this first part of the season of your club?

Miguel Galarraga: I said in the presentation act of the season that I had a question very clear this season. Our players will finish every game exhausted and I am proud to say that I was right. The team has suffered a lot of problems but they are giving the best in all the matches.

ehfCL.com: The improving in the attitude of the team let you dream?

Miguel Galarraga: It is true that the team has changed if you look to the past year. We have got some objectives at this time and we are in a good position in different competitions. We only lost two games in Asobal League and we are in the second round of Champions. Why not? I am hopeful to get a title this season.

ehfCL.com: Coach Chechu Villaldea has said publicly that he would like to sign a new player already. What can you say about it?

Miguel Galarraga: We began the movements to sign a player just after the several injury of Davor Dominikovic. However, it is very complicated. We are trying to get the player that coach needs. We had to wait to the finish of the first round of Champions to watch more interesting players able to be in Spanish League and Champions. I have confidence to sign this new mate.

ehfCL.com: Is the club ready to sign a player now?

Miguel Galarraga: We have an economic problem now to make this transfer. So, we are trying to look for a co sponsor to overcome this situation. We have an agreement with Cementos Portland for four seasons more but they will give us no so much money than before. So, we must look for a new sponsor and I hope that we will find it before that 2008 finishes. This new collaboration will allow us to sign a new player.
