Barcelona to strike back
A very special game is coming up in the Men’s Champions League. The return game of a handball classic, Kiel vs Barcelona, will be played on Sunday.
The game in Barcelona went down to the history books as the first ever German victory in the Palau Blau Grana. The Spanish team are preparing to write history too. The Spanish coach Manuel Cadenas has confidence in his team and he believes that taking the points from Kiel is possible. “We want to win in Kiel,” confirms Cadenas.
A Kiel victory would put Barcelona into a difficult position before the Main Round of the CL. The Catalonians would have to start without a point, and it means that the game in Germany will be highly important.
Cadenas also knows that the match will be very hard:
“We must show our best face and give our best possible performance. It will be very difficult and we have to play intelligently. It is not impossible to beat Kiel”.
Cadenas will have an easier job with Iker Romero back in action. The Spanish international had to skip the home game against the Germans due to an injury, but this time he could become key player. Romero is happy to be back:
“I feel very good. Feels like I was 18 again. I feel huge motivation, which is a great thing,” said Romero after his return against Drammen.
Eric Gull goes to Qatar
Former Barcelona player, Argentine international Eric Gull has signed a contract with Al-Sadd Sports. This team is based in Doha, Qatar, and he will stay there for six months. Gull had offers from France and Slovenia, but he chose this possibility to find new challenges.

The right back lived in many different countries, such as Tunisia, Brazil, Sweden, France and Spain. The 35-year old and is married with two children, so the family will move now to another continent:
“It is a different experience for us. My family support me and I hope that I will show a good performance there”.
Gull will play in the Qatari League, Prince Cup and Asian Cup. These are not the only objectives for Eric Gull:
“I am really anxious to play at the World Championship with Argentine. I returned to the national team after three years and my first impressions are very good. I hope to help the team to play a successful World Championship”.
