The Slovenians are satisfied so far, but they need to win again.
Krim go for second win
Krim were cautious before the first Champions League round. They knew that German Nürnberg were the surprise team of the previous years. But after collecting the first two points, now they go for the next victory against Metz.
"We are very happy with the result in Germany, but that’s history. We are now focused on another difficult match against Metz," said the coach Marta Bon.
The new coach brought new philosophy to Ljubljana: from this season on only healthy and fit players can be in the team.
"With injured players the doctors, physiotherapists and masseurs can work," she added. Krim have no big problems and they will be ready to cope with the French champions.
The two teams already met in the Champions League 2002/03 season when Krim triumphed twice.
"I’m familiar with Metz. I played against them with Knjaz Miloš. The team went through many changes," says Krim top scorer, Andrea Lekić. She adds: "I think their defeat against Viborg does not reveal their real strength. It only tells how strong Viborg is. We will have to play with full concentration and energy from the first to last minute. We showed what we are able to do."
Also Krim's captain, Špela Cerar is optimistic:
"The atmosphere is superb and positive on and off court. We cannot celebrate yet after the victory against Nürnberg, but we will do everything to win our second match in a row."
Krim will face Metz on Sunday at 17.45 in the old Kodeljevo hall where the club reached European title twice. The motto of the club this year: back to the roots!
