Milenkovic expects tough Group B

Eurohandball.com talks to the goalkeeper of Buducnost T-Mobile, Mirjana Milenkovic. The player wants to get revenge against Elda for the defeat she suffered last season from another Spanish team, Bera Bera. She expects a great battle in Group B for the first two positions. The 23-year old goalkeeper also reveals her secret of her great 7-m save efficiency.

Eurohandball.com: Buducnost T-Mobile is on top of the Women's Regional Handball League table. Your team defeated four CL participants, Krim, Kometal, Hypo and Podravka. Soon the CL will start and your team seems to be ready for it.

Mirjana Milenkovic: Indeed we had a good start in the WRHL. We also had really tough preparations and it all pays off now. But the most important thing is that we are playing better and better every day. Our form is rising and it is additional motivation for us to work even harder.

Eurohandball.com: The Austrian champions have two defeats and a draw in this league. Since Buducnost defeated Hypo, what do you expect from the CL matches against the team of András Németh?

Mirjana Milenkovic: First of all, Hypo are a great team. They still did not show everything they can. Neither did we. Our victory against Hypo does not mean anything. I am convinced Hypo will play much better in the CL. I expect a tough match that will be decided in the final minutes.

Eurohandball.com: FCK qualified and the team of Anja Andersen will be the fourth team of Group B.

Mirjana Milenkovic: FCK are a completely new team and it is hard to say something because Anja is still building a team. They are not in top form in the Danish league, but CL is something different. They have many high quality players, real professionals who will give their best in crucial moments.

Eurohandball.com: You are 7-meter specialist. In your last CL match against FTC last season you saved six consecutive 7-meter shots. This season you continue with this great performance in the WRHL. Can you reveal your secret for us? What do you do when the opponent stands in front of you preparing for a shot?

Mirjana Milenkovic: It’s simple. I hypnotise the player to shoot where I want her to (smiles).

Eurohandball.com: The first CL match of Buducnost will be played against Elda in Podgorica.

Mirjana Milenkovic: I expect a good match against the Spanish team. Elda changed a lot respect to last season, but we have information about them and we know exactly who we will face. So there will be no surprises.

Last season we were defeated by a Spanish club, Bera Bera in Cup Winners' Cup. This will be an additional motivation for us, because this time we want to get revenge on the Spaniards.
